Tellulah Darling writes YA & New Adult romantic comedy because her first kiss sucked and she's compensating.
Sassy girls. Swoony boys. What could go wrong?
I'd heard a lot about Damon Suede so when I saw this story features to geektastic guys, I was eager to dive in. Overall, I'd say it was fun and definitely hot, but the first half really dragged for me. This isn't one of those stories where the question of will they or won't they get together is the narrative tension that propels the story forward. No, they were in the relationship, mostly. And we just kind of hung there with them. For what seemed like a very long while.
I didn't feel that the story found its footing until the second half when Scratch came into play in a more concrete way. At least then, I felt like Suede was moving us toward something. Satisfying ending and enjoyable characters though.
