Blue not the wow I expected

I loooved the first two books in this series. But this one? Well, I'm still not sure what I took away from it. I still liked all the characters, but I don't feel like I got any new revelations about them. And plot wise - kinda the same feeling. 
Yes, they found Maura, but her NOT waking a sleeper is not that exciting. Could Artemus not have been awoken in some other way? And Gwen is fun, but she could have been found in book four.

Obviously, I'll be continuing with the series (hopefully the next book is the last one), I just wish this one hadn't felt so much like filler. Though, as usual, Stiefvater's writing is gorgeous.
