Tellulah Darling writes YA & New Adult romantic comedy because her first kiss sucked and she's compensating.
Sassy girls. Swoony boys. What could go wrong?
I started off loving this book. The two POVs both held so much promise and interest -Darcy, the young debut YA author and her creation Lizzie, survivor of a terrorism attack. The problem was that the deeper I got into the book, the less I cared about Lizzie's story. I didn't mind that it veered off its initial promise of being a thriller to become a paranormal. But for me, it didn't really deliver on that either. It kind of hovered somewhere in between, in this dramatic limbo where I wanted full-on genre embracing. I did continue to enjoy Darcy's love story, though at times if I wondering if that was because of or despite all the YA publishing jokes.
