Bored by the whole big battle last section. I had to force myself to get through it. It was like (don't flame me) the fact that I always used to fall asleep during the final Death Star battle sequence in Star Wars. Thing is, up till then (in both that movie and here) I liked the characters. I enjoyed their dilemmas and their relationships and the intimacy of their connections. Then it sequed to BATTLE and I couldn't have cared less. Plus, Pitticus Lore, great leader - spare me. I barely forgive Stephen King for sticking himself in his novels - and he's Stephen King. For this first time author, it wasn't cute or ironic, just felt like a cheap marketing ploy. Really, I should dock the guy for that alone.
