Tellulah Darling

There was a lot I liked about this book and a lot I wanted to like more. I guess I should start by saying that having finished it, I'm not actually sure if it was a stand alone or the first part of a series and my superficial investigations didn't get me any answers. If it was a stand alone, then I feel like I needed more depth. Yes there was conflict in the A-plot with the antagonist, but even that final battle felt anti-climatic. Also, there was no real conflict in the relationship plot which I always like. If it was part of a series, then my concerns all still stand but I'm willing to read the next book and see how it plays out. For me, even in a series, I like the first book to be a totally satisfying read in and of itself. It was an interesting and original world and I liked the characters but would have appreciated getting into everything and everyone a bit deeper.
