Tellulah Darling writes YA & New Adult romantic comedy because her first kiss sucked and she's compensating.
Sassy girls. Swoony boys. What could go wrong?
The book sounded good. I picked it up, intended to read a few pages before I had to get back to work. And then suddenly it was the end of the story and I was coming up for air.
I have read so many stories in which the female protagonist is bullied. But never have I connected so hard with one of them. Never have I felt the tone perfectly straddle the line of heartbreaking and real with no melodrama and that tiny bit of hope that refuses to die.
Having literally finished this story about ten minutes ago, I am still overwhelmed in the most wonderful way. I want to continue to live it that world with Elise for just a bit longer.
I have nothing critical to say about it. Every character was perfectly realized. There was no black and white, just shades of real grey. So much love and so thankful I read it.
