Tellulah Darling

Tellulah Darling writes YA & New Adult romantic comedy because her first kiss sucked and she's compensating.

Sassy girls. Swoony boys. What could go wrong?

When the best thing about the book is that it's free? Yikes!

Backward Compatible: A Geek Love Story - 'Sarah Daltry', 'Pete Clark'
The best thing I can say about it was that I'm glad it was free.

I love geek/love stories. Ready Player One is an all time fav as is Scott Pilgrim. I am always up for a great geek centered story, love or not. Sadly, this was a bust.

I thought it was YA with a bunch of crude 16yr olds - which was fine - until I learned they were 21. Really? Because they didn't feel 21. More importantly though, while there was tons of gamer & geek culture references and quips (to the point I was desperate for someone to speak like a normal person) there wasn't much (read any) character development.

So, I'll keep looking for another great geek read.
