Tellulah Darling writes YA & New Adult romantic comedy because her first kiss sucked and she's compensating.
Sassy girls. Swoony boys. What could go wrong?
Ever get annoyed because it feels like there is just too much - too many magical powers packed in, too much mythology woven in. That's how I kind of felt about this.
She had so many different abilities and the world was populated with not only shapeshifters, weres, vamps, etc but actually historical figures like Louis Armstrong. I found it distracting. Also, yes, she was active and capable but beyond that, I didn't get any unique personality or voice off of her. Not like say, Kate Daniels from the Ilona Andrews novels or Mercy Thompson.
It wasn't bad but I have no desire to keep reading this series.
