I almost didn't finish it. Here's the thing, I'm not sure that had I read it back in 2007 when it came out, I would found it predictable and annoying. But I've read so many books like this and so many series that are infinitely better. So perhaps, its problem is timing. I found the characters pretty cliche, the big twist at the end was no twist at all and the part where
(show spoiler)yeah, that was the part where had I not been reading it on my laptop, I would have chucked the book down in disgust.
Oh well. Lots more series to try.
