Tellulah Darling writes YA & New Adult romantic comedy because her first kiss sucked and she's compensating.
Sassy girls. Swoony boys. What could go wrong?
Headstrong females in HR tend to be a lot of fun for me and Ari was no exception. I've really enjoyed Jane Feather books in the past. I think what was keeping me from giving this a higher rating, despite it being a solid read was that both characters felt far too modern. The story occurs in the late 1600s and yet Ari seemed to think that her betrothed should not be annoyed that she was in love with/had sex with another man and her betrothed helped her to cover up her loss of virginity on their wedding night. A lot of their actions felt off for me, given the time period. But there was still plenty to enjoy.
