Tellulah Darling writes YA & New Adult romantic comedy because her first kiss sucked and she's compensating.
Sassy girls. Swoony boys. What could go wrong?
The idea of a circus of the damned intrigued me and Grey did not disappoint. It was a visually sumptuous world with a wonderful mythology and huge "soul on the line here" stakes. Plus a sweet and steamy m/m romance. The only thing that kept me from giving it 4 full stars (or higher) was the voice of the MC Gilbert. For an adult who'd grown up on the streets and was a con artist, a lot of the time he came off as very polite. Or young. Just not as rough edged as I thought his savvy existence would have made him.
